Our keynote speaker, Cathy Inglis, has worked for Brickworks for over 24 years and has been pivotal in the development of some of Australia’s leading façade systems. A highly respected authority on various building products and systems, Cathy has a Bachelor of Materials Science and a Master of Science, and is also National Director at the Housing Industry Association, representing the industry on several Australian Standard Committees. Cathy will offer an overview of regulations related to non-combustible façade, the impact these have on design, and explain some of the notable façade systems which she has helped to develop.
Our second speaker, Blair Stratton, has over 14 years’ experience as a fire safety engineer in Australia and New Zealand. As Founding Partner and Manager of Major Projects for RED Fire Engineers, Blair has spent much of the last five years reviewing issues relating to combustible façades. Blair brings a wealth of knowledge to the discussion and will be discussing risk assessments techniques that have assisted owners, builders and regulators to understand and manage façade fire risks along with sharing local and international case studies he has been involved in.
